*chapter 4: Food fight*

It was lunch time and everyone quickly got in line. Finally it's lunch time, I haven't eaten anything this morning. Ruby hurried to the line, but it was crowded. Many keep pushing, shoving, and cutting in line. She waited, when a group of toads talking about bowser and his new partner. Bowser has a parnter? She made it to the cash register. She got a slice of pizza, with an apple, baby carrots, and a mini water bottle. Can't think straight without an empty stomach.

All around the cafeteria was packed. So she want outside, it was hard to find a good spot. She found an empty bench with little shade. She sat there, before she took a bite the fire alarm want on.

BEEB! BEEB! BEEB! BEEB!

"Really? Who ever heard of a fire alarm going on at lunch time?" Ruby said, she got up to look around. Everybody screamed and ran in terror. "What is going on?" She heard shouting. She got her backpack and headed towards where the sounds were coming from.

In the cafeteria, she saw two hammer bros smashing table, while a group of toads huddles at the corner.

"Where is she? Where is the girl?!" Said the first hammer bro. The toads shock their heads.

"No prob, we'll just have to turn this school upside down then. Even if we have to smash a couple of walls!" Said the second hammer bros, he smashed a table to make his point.

A couple of toads spotted ruby, they gave her signals to leave. Ruby shock her head. The first hammer bros saw what the toads were doing. He turn to see what they were looking at, he then saw ruby.

"Hey, it's her!" He shouted. They slowly walked towards, with their hammers up high.

"Came with us and nobody gets hurt." They threaten.

Ruby looks around, to see anything she can use to defend herself. Across from her was a tray with a few apples. They throwed their hammers at her. She quickly grabbed the apples and throwed it at the hammers, by stopping it. She swing the tray at them, hitting them. once they fell, ruby ran to the group of toads.

"Thanks for saving us." One of them said "Your a hero, just like mario and luigi."

This made ruby blush. The lunch lady came up to her and began to say "Ruby you need to get out of here. Go to the woods, maybe there you can find a power up or a pipe."

"Hold it right there, nobody moves!" Standing there were two boomerang bros and a fire koopa. "You two, get her!" Commanded the fire koopa. The two did so. They dragged ruby out of the cafeteria, by her arms. She tried to break free, but no luck.

Then an apple hit one of the boomerang koopa. They turn around and saw the angry group of toads. They have food in their hands.

"What the...?"

All at once they throw food at them, missing ruby. "Now is your chance to leave." Said the lunch lady.

The noise attracted other koopa that were around the school. They want straight toward them. Soon teachers and students block their path, and they were holding food.

"FOOD FIGHT!!" Yelled one of the student. They throw food at the small army of koopas. Once again the lunch lady told ruby to go, she had no choice. She headed to the woods.

The two boomerang bros got up and saw the massive food fight. Then they spotted ruby running toward the woods. They both got up and chase after her.

Ruby made it to the woods. She hoped to find a power up or a pipe. In the corner of ur eyes she spotted something red it was a pipe. She ran to the pipe. The two koopas started throwing their boomerang at her. She used her backpack to block the attack. unfortunately one of the boomerang bounce off a tree hitting her on the head.

"Ow, whoo." Ruby fell in the pipe. It disappeared into the grass.

"She escape, we have to tell bowser." They want back to the school.

The pipe appear miles from the school. Ruby get out and collapse to the ground. She rub the side of her head where she was hit. Looking at her hand it was red. her eyes slowly closed shut. She was unconscious.
