Chapter Two:
Unknown P.O.V
I woke up laying in a tent, with Daryl. He removed the arrow by force he told me and got us back. Carol popped my shoulder back in place telling me I didn't break it, luckily. After me, Daryl, and Carl were fully healed, Daryl went out and didn't let me go with him this time. Since I had come to respect, and care greatly for him, I did what he asked. I stayed with Carl at the farm wishing I could go with Daryl to look for the girl, but after last time it only made me want to stay in groups that much more.
Hershel still wanted the group of us to leave the farm but Lori said he needed to convince Hershel to let them stay. Lori took the abortion pills she asked Glenn to get for her, to kill the baby I knew belonged to Shane. She decided she still wanted her child, throwing them up. Later telling her husband the secret was now known, making Rick very angry about the fact her and his best friend had been together. I found the smell of rot came from the barn were tons of walkers were kept.
I caught a familiar smell, Sophia was in here. I was met with enmity and the heaviness of my heart, realizing I was right the whole time. Daryl and I almost died looking for a girl that I very well knew was already dead. I would have told the group only it would have destroyed Daryl and Carol for the false hope, that they held onto so tight. Shane took charge, opening the barn to release the walkers, and everyone shoots them while Hershel and his family watched in horror. As the last remaining few walkers dropped dead in the hands of Shane, the last walker emerged from the barn.
It turned out to be Sophia, damn me being right. Everyone was paralyzed with fear to see what Sophia has turned into. Carol watched with tears in her face as Rick stepped up to Sophia and shot her in the head. Emotions ran high in the aftermath of the barn walker massacre. Maggie's younger sister Beth grew ill, and Rick and Glenn searched for a missing Hershel.
Glenn, Hershel, and Rick were attacked by two men. Rick killed them both saving all three of them not before the other half of their group came looking for them. After a shoot out a boy named Randall impaled his leg on a gate, leading his partner Nate to leave him to the walkers. Rick, Glenn, and Hershel rescued Randall, and the four safely returned to the farm. Rick initially planned to send away Randall, however, Shane disagreed. Lori told Rick that Shane is dangerous.
One week later, Rick and Shane transported Randall to a faraway area. The two decided to leave him in a town 18 miles from the farm, leaving him only with a knife. Randall begged the two to keep him, unintentionally revealing that he went to school with Maggie, and therefore Rick and Shane believed he knew the location of the farm. Shane attempted to kill him, but Rick fought on his behalf. The two fought releasing a herd of walkers Rick, Shane and Randall barely escaping alive.
Beth contemplated suicide, leading Lori and Andrea to argue about whether they should keep her on suicide watch or allow her to commit suicide. Andrea told Beth to make a choice opening the bathroom door. Leading Beth to smash the bathroom mirror and slit her wrist. Maggie scolded Andrea, forbidding her to enter the house, Andrea explained by allowing her to "try" it showed she wanted to live. Daryl tortured Randall for information. Randall revealed that he comes from a large group, in which some have raped two teenagers. It lead the group to believe that Randall was dangerous and that they should execute him.
Dale begged the group that they should let Randall live or sacrifice their human morals. Carl had grown cold and bitter, disrespecting Carol and stealing a gun from Daryl. Dale attempted one last time to let their prisoner live. Rick, Shane, and Daryl took Randall to the barn to execute him, they stopped after Carl revealed to be watching, delaying the execution and angering Shane. Dale was attacked by a walker and gutted by it only for the others to return to late to save him.
Daryl killed the walker, Carl was shocked that the walker that gutted Dale is the same walker he encountered. Rick attempts to put an end to his misery but Daryl volunteered to take the gun from Rick and proceeded to shoot Dale. Shane killed Randell against Rick's wishes to let him live like Dale wanted. Shane faked being hurt by him and lying to the group so Rick could be alone with him. Stabbing him in the back Shane almost killed Mr. Grimes only for it to backfire.
Rick killed him only for Carl and me to see them on the ground. I watched not in fear but relief seeing Carl's dad alive. I didn't have a gun on me but Carl did and Shane reanimated making Carl shoot his first walking dead. The three of us walked back to the farm only to hear loud moans and groans coming from the forest. A giant herd of walkers heard the gunshot and came to the farm.
Rick and Carl kept low and made it to the barn, while I got separated to go get my weapons. I made it to my tent getting my bowie knife, saving the ammo for a better time. For the noise would only draw more, I started to distract the walkers leading them away. I slowly snuck up behind a small group of ten walkers stabbing them in the head. I remembered how if you smell like one of them they don't see you.
When I killed another group of ten or five I made sure to gut them so I would be covered in their smell. Allowing me to kill more walkers without them "seeing" me. Before anyone could blink the farm was covered in the dead, I grabbed all my duffle bags. I then rushed to get to the others so I wouldn't be left behind, only for them to drive away. I saw Carol and Andrea stuck there too, I grouped with them safety in numbers. Carol was rescued by Daryl only for more walkers to attack me and Andrea.
Thinking we were killed they left us behind to fight for our lives. I told Andrea to run as I would lead them the other way. She wouldn't allow it, but I also added: "I wasn't asking for your permission. Now go." with that I lead the herd away from my group and her. I never did regroup after that, I survived on my own for months. Finding a safe place to stay in a windmill I made a little nest for me sleep in for winter.
Killing anything that was unfortunate enough to cross my path. Using no guns unless there was no option I kept my knives sharp and aim true. Killing well over a hundred walkers by myself in a group of five or ten at a time. I would use the front door to only let one in at a time, it was a good system. Worked till winter and the door started to rust making it unsafe.
I left the windmill waiting for the right time when walkers would be few. I made little notes on how many days passed it added up to over nine months alone. I survived off any fruit I could find and small animals like rabbits. I worked out on daily basis using thick tree branches to do pull ups and upside down crunches. Doing other core and leg workouts, I started to lean out and buff up losing well over twenty pounds.
I was always a big kid so I had a lot of self-esteem issues, and what my dad did added to it as well. I destroyed all the dolls he ever gave me, reflecting how disgusted I felt with myself onto the barbies. I was so lean you could count my ribs and vertebrae down my spine. Not all from lack of food but the body fat mass was under fifteen percent. I learned better ways to kill and herd walkers to an area small enough killing them would be easy as pie. I burned the bodies before using the ashes to grow fruit trees and bushes for food.
Building a high metal fence around a small garden area, keeping both my food and me safe from the walking corpses. I made a fire station into a home, using the spare trucks car seats as beds I slept in the loft always on guard for the dead. I never really not that weak thing for lack of being out in the open, instead, I became a light sleeping waking to the sound of moaning or even birds chirping. I made a larger garden and slowing extended my base coming across a pack of wild dogs. I kneeled in front of the alpha staring him down, growling in his face challenging him.
We brawled hard but I was careful not to hurt him, even though I got cut up some. I earned his pack's respect making him my beta taking his place as alpha. I lead the pack back home, I then I washed and feed them. Slowly domesticating them, they started to trust me and I started to trust them. Even allowing them to sleep around me, we all hunted together. I kept half the pack at home, using them to keep any intruders away.
The pack of six dogs were my only companionship, I soon found a dog pound around town near my base.
Inside I found a hand full of hybrids were still alive but barely holding on, I opened the kennels feeding, washing, and grooming them with the items found in the pound. The very large wolf-dog mixes most of them were to be put down from aggression with food issues. It saddened me deeply seeing how sweet the wolf dogs were have been starved for nine months. I created a super pack of dogs and hybrids alike, going on long hunting and killing dead and food.
Splitting my group into two on hunting for food the other dead with me. I tied the dogs to me mentally and physically making us one of they get hurt I will know, but they won't die since I'm not hurt. Years passed and I had killed so many dead and alive I had lost count, maybe in the hundreds are even more. I made the world a lot safer by going after those herds of dead and not allowing them to grow into a ginormous size. I met a girl named Enid and her family, I let them stay with me until a herd came back and killed them.
Leaving Enid and me alone, we both knew it was time to leave this base and find another. We both gathered all the food we could and some of the bedding before we traveled towards a community named Alexandria. I stayed with her for a while but it was a fairy tale, so I left telling her I would return someday. I let her keep one of my dogs as a protector, she picked the wolf-dog Kendov. With that I left, finding my own way surviving like it was my job until I met him.
A man named Negan took me to his home base, when I refused to kneel. The man let his men have fun torturing me. Hanging from a meat hook in chains, they experimented on me. Using different knives and different weapons to carve me into a new animal. I kept track of how long it had been it added up to eight months of hell. For eight months I told Negan to stick it where the sun don't shine. In time he knew I wasn't going to break, giving up he unchained me moving me into a separate room away from his people.
I neither slept nor ate for days upon days. Soon passing out from low blood sugar, he took me to his doctor pumping my body full of antibiotics for my illnesses I had. Hydrating me and feeding me by force, I was nursed back to a healthier weight.
Negan wouldn't let me leave, then I waited for months for my time to escape. When the time came I killed well over three people to secure my exit, the wounds they inflicted were still fresh. I knew it was time to go back to Alexandria , I fought my way back to Enid. I arrived within a couple days, my hair was unkempt. As for my body, I was covered with dirt and scars from head to toe.
Some of the damage was from the knives they used, others were bad burns from white hot pipes. A handful were deep tack holes from nail guns. I looked like a wild animal I gained the nickname; Bruniik, meaning savage. No one liked me but Enid, two boys tried to befriend me, Ron Anderson and Mikey. I never talked to them only Enid because she knows why I "took" a vow of silence.
I was alone for almost three years, then tortured for nine months. It really keeps you locked inside and screaming so loud no one can hear you. I became a mute even to Enid writing out what I had to say or just nodded or shook my head to agree or disagree. I stayed alone in the attic of our house, I used pliers and pull each nail out of my skin. I never dared to cry out I patched myself up not wanting to me touched by another person again.
I felt my stomach turn once I walked around more of the Alexandria . Like death, I can feel it and see it when I graze their arm or body. I sense their oncoming doom, I couldn't stay there. I just couldn't get away from it, all of this death is going to happen because of me. I told Enid about the feeling, but she told me I was just paranoid after all that had happened to me.
I deserted Alexandria once more only this time I buried my bags of guns keeping only three knives and a sharpener. Right outside the walls using some brush to hide it, my wolf-dogs were not welcome in that community. It’s either all of us or none of us. I kept a bag of food and water before going out again, fully healed but scarred. I carried my duffles far away to a clock tower nearby, making a place to rest.
I was watching out for walkers when the newcomers arrived, I notice the familiar feeling of safety. I crawled down from the tower watching from afar, a young boy maybe a year or two younger looked right at me. I froze like a statue, keeping eye contact with his bright blue ones. I can only imagine what I looked like to him, a feral girl. Whose clothes were torn by thorns and snagged to rags, whose hair was also matted.
The blue eyed boy must have seen my animals behind me for he looked worried, for me. I looked behind me seeing my pack growling, I raise my hand calming them. I turned back to him, a member of Alexandria named Aaron told him "We tried to get her to come inside, but she hasn't yet. We just leave her food and water outside the gates. Until she trusts us enough to come inside." he explained. The boy nods to Aaron before him and his group entered the walls.
An old man with a huge beard carried a baby maybe a couple months, I wanted to come up to them. A gut sense told me not to, so I just went back to my tower. I couple days passed since the group came, Enid came outside the walls like she did every five days or so. She would check on me and bring me a hairbrush to do my hair, and a hair tie to keep it out of my face or managed till her return.
I would let her go through my hair, it would take ages but we kind of talked. She would always ask why I wouldn't stay in the walls away from danger. I never answered I only said "To keep you safe.", I knew she was being followed by the same boy I saw before. I could hear his footsteps and his heavy breathing. I would laugh a little on how hard he tried to keep up with Enid for I taught her well.
Enid would do my hair up into a dutch french braid, It would keep my hair out and back from my eyes so I could hunt. I would use the lake to take baths without soap, but enough to keep myself clean. I also used it to wash my clothes, bra, and underwear as well. Using fire to dry them I would sit under a blanket until I could put them back on. Maintaining some form of manners, I asked my friend to bring nail clippers and files. So we could do nails together keeping our bond strong, I went from an animal into a young girl within a week.
Before I didn't care what I looked like, but something about that boy made me not want him to find a savage in the woods. After a while, I just asked to keep the hair brush, nail clippers, file, and toothbrush. Making my own toothpaste or finding it. I had been eating apples to keep my teeth clean but it wasn't enough, though. So I kept my hygiene up to date but never daring to abandon my instincts. A day came when the boy kept up with Enid and she led him to me. I was catching fish in the lake, I was crouched down hovering above the water. Ready to pounce I then bolted my hands into the water grabbing a fish.
I bit down on the fish’s head killing and decapitating it, I spat the head out. Before turning to see Enid and the boy, I stood up washing the blood off my face with the cold water. I just held the fish in my hands, being scared to move. Enid tried to explain to me he meant no harm. I still didn't trust him. I called for my dogs out of fear, they ran in front of me.
