Description Two days later a temporary truce had been agreed on. The middle child, a meer witness to the crime, said hello and goodmorning. The youngest one, the one that had been backed into a corner, the one that had been hit two nights prior, didn't so much as acknowledge Her. They both answered any questions She asked with a curt nod of the head or brisk phrases. They were fine with their truce of sorts.

She wasn't.

She came home that day in a seemingly good mood. She greeted the middle one, who softly said hello, not bothering to pry her eyes from the computer screen that illuminated the dark room. She laid eyes on the youngest, who had started up the stairs once Her voice had fell on her ears.

She called the youngest over, and watched as she dragged her feet in her direction. She too calmly stated that she deserved respect, and that if the youngest were in her place, she would've done the same. Pointing towards the front door she told the youngest to abide by her rules and acknowledge her or leave.

The youngest stared at the door.

The middle one stared at the screen.

The youngest went upstairs, grabbed a hat and jacket and went back down the stairs. Slipping on her sneakers she glanced at Her before walking out the door, slamming it behind her.

The middle one flinched as she heard the lock slide into its wooden frame.
