Description
While I didn't intend on this ref floating too many other places other than Tumblr, I decided it might be nice to send it here since I'm starting to develop Shela a bit further than her Layen roots! The most notable changes are the lengthening and decor of the poncho and the addition of a staff instead of daggers. Thought it might suit her style a bit more!

What she is in short is a sentient accumulation of “goo” that’s anchored in this reality by a red stone on her head. the farther away from the stone the goo is, the darker it gets. If this is broken, Shela will cease to exist, so she does her best to take care of it! Being without structure for the most part, she can shape herself in a variety of ways. Thankfully for us, she uses 3 common forms:

Human- She’s in this form now as you can see. In her human form she most often wears a personal poncho with a hood when needed. Her staff is also at full length.

Semi-Human- At this point, Shela will keep most of her upper body in her human form, but the rest is submerged in a puddle of, well, herself. She uses this form to dart around quicker than what her human form allows. In her semi-human form, Shela no longer wears her poncho, and her staff is at half length if seen at all.

Puddle- The only recognizable parts of Shela aside from the orange color of her goo is her face and stone, but the face can be hidden and the stone covered by the goo. She often her little use for this form unless she’s slipping through spaces only big enough for her stone, or she’s just using it to zip around without having to telegraph anything to company through the use of limbs or body language. Her poncho is never seen at this point, and her staff is quarter length if it’s even used.

Since Shela has no innards and the likes, she often uses herself as a walking storage unit, plucking stuff she’s “eaten” earlier from herself when needed. While it may not be apparent as to what she carries when in the bigger, human form, it’s easy to see the individual bulges of items when acting as a puddle. Strangely this does not seem to apply to the poncho nor the staff, both of which she pulls from seemingly nowhere.

Being the element of Speed and Progress, Shela does have a power or two. Her staff is used to channel her particular abilities into select objects. This ability can be used to upgrade objects into others that perform the same function, only better as if it were taken from a future point in time of its development. For example: a hand can-opener can be turned into an electric one, and a musket can be turned into a modern assault rife. Objects of the same function, only they can do it better! She also has the ability to speed objects up at will, but this requires more energy, and it also means that should the object be a vehicle, the pilot remains vigilant and ready to steer it out of harm’s way at such high speeds
