Hmm. Now that I think about it, I also have to find tutos for Painter.

As for mimicking watercolors, the only thing I could say, since I never used watercolors myself, is to make it a bit more clear: they look too intense. And that's about it: nice work.

If you were going for the watercolor look don't worry, it definitely looks great. It makes the mood of the picture kind of soothing, I think. =3

Like you said it is a little dry-looking and sharp, but that only gives in an appeal. I really like this one- not just because it's Riku- but I really like the look of it!
What textures did you use in Photoshop and at what opacity?

Hey, very nice! It does have that watercolor effect going...but something around the back of his head (or possibly the blindfold) says otherwise. Still, it has it's own charm to it...it's own unique style...

oooh pretty.... harder bleed lines are good for water color... also having referance... has really good water color works, and a few of her friends too, I suggest looking there to get ideas on making it look that way.

I love it though, those are only for your own ideas. ^^
