Description
Characters: Riku from KHII, and Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz from the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movieA small, small doodle. A silly idea that popped into my head today. What if they were siblings?
Riku: *comes home at last* ... I'm home.
Loz: YOU. ;-;
Yazoo: Riku!

You know what? That was my exact thought when I first saw Loz and Yazoo in Advent Children. But, then again, Nomura does have the unfortunate habit of repeating older characters.

May I just point out that Nomura did say he was uncomfortable using character designs he didn't create himself? Riku was probably designed to resemble Sephiroth while Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz were designed to resemble him too. It would be very unlikely that they would seem very disconnected in that case, no?
My take on Kingdom Hearts is that the main characters where designed after characters in other games intentionally; it was designed to be a compilation of different games/movies so it is possible that the characters were designed as if they were alternate universe forms of other characters.
My opinion doesn't matter here, but I've always gotten pissed about people saying that about Nomura. Reason? My friend once said Square Enix reuses characters all the time, like she knew absolutely and she was so right. I totally freaked at her because she's never even played one of their games.

No, no. I'm not trying to say it's an absolute fact and that I'm right. I was going by what I've seen/heard about Nomura's designs. (Should've put 'seems like' in there. Whoops.)
But when you put it that way... it does make more sense that they were intentionally based off other characters. (And if that's the case... wonder who Kairi was based off of?)
And you're not a spaz; don't worry. I made a mistake and you fixed it. ^^
