Description

Code Name: *Sniper*

Age: 34

Species: German Shepherd

Current Occupation: Police Officer

Origins:

Sniper was not inspired by a person, but plenty of fictional characters.

The first character that inspired me was Jorgen Von Strangle(That name) from Fairly Odd Parents. Pretty much the atmosphere he brought. Another character (more recent) is Brutus from a comic series called ''Pixie and Brutus''. The animals in that series aren't anthropomorphic, they are straight up animals. Brutus is also a German Shepherd who suffers from PTSD, and used to work at the military. I know, it sounds similar, but I wasn't thinking about Brutus while I was creating Sniper.

Now, to explain how I came up with him. It all started with another character that I have never ever mentioned. A police officer from a movie called "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs"!

He was by far one of my favourite characters. Really funny, he made that movie. While I was creating my own universe, I was like "Hey, the characters are going to do so pretty dangerous stuff in the show, wouldn't it be fun to create a police officer who is after them all the time"? The funny thing is, that was the original idea. Sniper has changed a LOT since he was created, and he is only a few months old! Scout was literally created to be the good and bad cop scenario, but he ALSO changed a lot. He now has an actual personality!

Fun fact, Sniper as a concept was actually created two years ago, but was so different I don't really mention it. He was originally a student at the school Ruby and the others go to, and was a Doberman. The only similarity was that I had chosen the name Sniper for him, and his father was the one working at the military instead.

Now to the actual information about the character.

''Sniper'' is a police officer.

He used to be a part of the military, but retired due to his poor performance because of his injuries. He is highly trained, and always in good shape.

Due to traumatizing experiences from the past, he tends to get triggered over the sound of gunshots or fireworks. That's unfortunately quite common among men who have served their country in real life as well.

''Sniper'' is a code name, not his real one. The reason he has one to begin with is because, due to some events, he has to protect his identity. Someone is looking for him, and he can't risk having his full name around. The name choice was due to his previous job, a military Sniper. He was the best at what he did, which gave him the title. He has since used it to introduce himself, and often gets weird looks, as 'Sniper' isn't really a name.

-Personality-

Sniper is a very confident and brave man. His bravery tends to make him careless, however. Sniper is neither introverted nor extroverted. He could be considered an introverted extrovert; He only talks to people from the department because he doesn't trust many others. He is analytical, cold, efficient...and a prick. When in a positive environment, he can be social, generous, and even sweet to others. However, the world he lives in barely provides that. He does talk to other canines, but that's about it. Social skills are highly dependant on one's species, and dogs are high on that list. Sniper as a person is 'that one guy' that no one really knows about. Currently, the character is rather mysterious, but that's because he can't bare any more negative interactions with others. Sniper in general has been through a lot. He has extreme anxiety, and suffers from PTSD, which has led into unsettling behaviour when being under stress. Simply put, he is a nervous individual, but that doesn't get into the way of his current position, a police officer. This job requires confidence and dominance over citizens, as there could be potential criminals roaming around.

-Trivia-

*Sniper was the first adult character I ever created.

*Sniper's day of birth was at April 5 2020. I guess this could be considered his birthday.

*Sniper can be quite moody, but that's until he gets attached to someone. He is afraid to open up. Despite that, he knows how to have fun. That includes partying, drinking, or even fighting competitions. It could be fun for some, but certainly not everyone involved in those fights.

*Due to his nature, Sniper doesn't really like cats. He doesn't like any feline in general. In fact, his worst enemy is a hyena. That enemy is called "Arrow", and he is the true villain of the story. Since there is a personal grudge, Sniper would have a motive to help the main characters achieve their goal later on.

*Sniper has the mentality of 'Men aren't supposed to show emotions' so he barely shows any. He almost always has a stone or moody expression on his face. Of course, there are things that could break him, but only an ill-minded person would be able to spot them. Friends, family members. Only if something happened to them would he snap. Sniper in general has quite the traditional 'gender standards'. Women are supposed to be hard-working and responsible, and men are supposed to be brave and strong. That's him mentality when interacting with someone. If his expectations aren't met, he doesn't point it out, but it's something like a 'turn off' for him.

*Sniper suffers from PTSD. This is connected to a certain incident where he lost both his left hand and his left leg. Those have been replaced with prosthetic limbs. As you have noticed, he is wearing gloves that cover almost half his hands. That's to avoid awkward stares, and having only one glove would cause confusion as well. What about his leg? Well, this isn't really a spot easily noticeable. In addition, an incident that occurred while he was with his father on a trip contributed to his anxiety.

*Sniper really likes fishing. He just finds fish fascinating, and used to hunt them during his childhood. As he grew older, he started taking it more professionally and started going to the sea with a boat. He is pretty good at it, but not a hobby he usually brings up. Not many are into that, they prefer hunting herbivores instead.

*He also goes by ''Big Hawk'', but that's just a joke among his Co-Workers. That's a reference that can't be explained yet.

*Sniper is asexual. He doesn't have romantic feelings for others, and would most likely never reproduce. He does, however, like the idea of dating. When it comes to that, he doesn't really mind the gender of the partner, as it's nothing sexual to begin with. He just wants some company when he gets all old and rusty. When it comes to children, the only possibility for Sniper is to get one through adoption.

*You might have noticed the two unique features on this particular character. One is the collar wrapped around his neck, and the other is a remote. Just like in real life, there are 'shock collars' used on dogs when they aren't behaving properly. Sniper uses it for similar reasons. You see, when someone gets triggered due to PTSD, they might start acting in a disturbing way. That collar is made in order to keep control of those reactions. Just like an asthma inhaler, Sniper uses that collar to calm himself down when being under a stressful situation. Two remotes were made, in case one got lost or broken. He gave the other to his co-worker, Scout, who he trusts the most. Since they are together most of the time, Scout could also help him calm down if something occurs.

-Relationships-

Ruby: Ruby knows who Sniper is, but they have never talked before. Their relationship is still in development. She pretty much just reported some suspicious behaviour to him and he went to check it out.

Jack: Jack and Sniper have met before. Jack is quite the troublemaker, and he has been chased down quite a lot. It is a "Get off my lawn" type of relationship between the two. If given a chance, their relationship could be perfectly normal, as Sniper was similar to Jack when he was this young.

Joy: Joy and Sniper have yet to interact. They are going to meet in the future when Joy and Jack become good friends and cause trouble together. Joy is also really good a pranks and doesn't exactly respect the authorities. If also given a chance, their relationship would be kind of neutral. They would say "Good morning", but not much else.

Scout: Scout and Sniper are inseparable. Their personalities are quite opposite, but that didn't stop them from becoming the best of friends. When they first met, Sniper found him really annoying, although Scout was curious about him. What changed that impression was that Scout ended up putting his life on risk to save him. Scout saved his life, and Sniper is forever grateful. They have been through a lot together, so it is rare to see them apart. Of course, being together all the time also means having a lot of arguments. Those arguments are usually small disagreements, but could escalate to violent fights. Those fights usually stop rather quickly, as they are both logical enough to acknowledge their behaviour isn't proper.

Doctor Corps: Sniper had to interact with Doc a lot during his training. He kind of creeped him out at the beginning, but soon got more comfortable around him. He would often help Corps by getting him equipment that was hard to find. Now that he left the military, he hasn't seen him in a very long time, but he would definitely be happy if they casually bumped into each other outside the workplace.

Jet: Jet's relationship with Sniper is very similar to Scout's, since they all met under the same conditions. After they had their little adventure, he and Sniper decided to live together in a flat. Neither of them were ever rich, so splitting the bills was a convenient option for the both of them. There are some arguments here and there, since Sniper doesn't like Jet bringing girls in the house without warning, and Jet doesn't like Sniper giving him orders. It's an unfortunate circle, but they manage to get along most of the time.

Sonia: He and Sonia have a relationship close to the one of siblings. That's not always a good thing. It's not that they are close at all, they just always argue over small things. They met when Sniper was ordered to train her by their boss. He taught her what she needed to do, made sure she exercised, and made sure she didn't have any unhealthy habits that could affect her performance. After that, he went in his merry way, and talked to her only when necessary. Sonia is curious about him since she didn't manage to take any information out of him. She doesn't even know his real name. Their relationship is going to change drastically as the show goes on, though.

Lucy: Lucy has a small crush on Sniper, but is more of the "behind the bush" type of admirer. They rarely talk, and Sniper doesn't really like her. He doesn't dislike her either, he is just not interested in talking to her. That happens with a lot of people he meets. Their relationship can change in the future, but it's certainly not going to be a romantic one

Papi: Papi and Sniper could be considered "friends". She is loud, which Sniper isn't a huge fan of, but she is also very intelligent and confident. That's what he likes about her, and the reason he would go out of his way to help her out if needed. They make quite the team too, as Papi has excellent programming skills and can help his gather information about a target or potential criminal. That's her job, as a Crime Analyst.

Chief: *Chief* is Sniper's previous boss, from the military. While at duty, they rarely interacted. However, when they got captured and had to break out together, a small kind of bond was created. More

like recognition and respect. He realised how loyal and strong his men can be, and has true respect for Sniper and all he sacrificed for his sake. Same goes for the rest of his soldiers, who unfortunately never got to leave the battlefield.

Arrow: Sniper and Arrow are sworn enemies. No chance of salvation. Those two really despise each other's entire existence, and wish death upon the other. As time goes on, their relationship will only get worse. If you took away all the reasons they hated each other, the only way they could get along in the slightest would be if they were locked in a karaoke room, and drunk as can be.

Roger: Roger is Arrow's assistant, so naturally, Sniper doesn't like him either. However, Sniper doesn't have any deep hate for Roger specifically. They would never become friends, but there is no true hate. If he never worked for Arrow, their relationship could even be positive.

Susan: Since Sniper has interacted with Doctor Corps a lot, he has also interacted with *Nurse Corps*. They find each other okay, Susan is the helping hand when Corps has had a bad day. Sniper finds her quite helpful, so that's pretty much what he likes about her.
