[link] <There are SO MANY FLIES in my basement. We really need to start cleaning up all of their rotting corpses. I mean, as if my cat's piles of leavings everywhere weren't enough, now we have dead flies stinking up the place. NASTY. Although it is kind of fun to take your anger out on them.
I've had this idea in my head for a long time. I almost got two flies with one swing once, but I just missed one of them. My dad did it though.
I was also somewhat inspired by this video: [link] at about 8:18 when the TV says "BETRAYED" (it's from Halo) but this video is extremely inappropriate so...you've been warned.

Try adding some Apple Cider Vinegar to your cat's drinking water. Start with a 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water ratio. Canola oil is a decent natural insect repellent. Mix a few drops of canola and peppermint oil in a spritzer bottle, and it should rid yourself of mosquitoes and biting flies. (Just don't spray in kitty's litter or kitty won't like it!) Also, don't forget to clean the litter box with warm water and mild soap once a month. (Flies are attracted to the odor, after all.)
