Seldom do I find myself in a situation where inspiration hits me like a moving vehicle. Sometimes it trickles in like a leaky faucet. Sometimes it doesn't come at all. But sometimes I step into the road and let it hit me. And when it does, by God, does it hit.

I love humpback whales. Despite my overwhelming fear of the ocean, they're my favorite animals. So large and gentle, but also beautiful and graceful. I saw a GIF online recently that let me step into the road.

And I knew exactly what I wanted. So I sketched, and I painted, and I finally finished. I have never held such a strong pride for my own artwork. But this is it. I know it's far from perfect, but I am so happy with how this turned out that I could cry. It took hours to finish, but it turned out exactly how I wanted it. And I want to share it with everybody else.
