Something I whipped up to commemorate "International Women's Day" this year!
One of the ways that I've handled some of my stress over the past couple of years was to play some platformer games I was eager to purchase and complete. I've realized that I've grown particularly fond of those with female protagonists given that some of the "magical"/action girl elements can be good, escapist fun for me. 
I could go extensively about why I have enjoyed these fictional women in particular, but let us celebrate these important, leading ladies in gaming history!
Princess Peach for her soft femininity and elegant grace, Shantae for her cheeky magic and perky personality (with some peppering of light-hearted sensuality), and Samus for her serious competence and trail-blazing warrior position.
