The two of us... We were never meant to be together.
When it came to us it was light and dark,
I was the dark, you were the light.
How much have I longed for the light that you came from?
I was so desperate to reach the light, even though I knew the dark never could be with the light.
When you appeared... You fearlessly entered my darkness.
But you remained as the light. Or that's what I thought.
It was awhile until I realized how everything worked...
There's always a balance.
Negative and positive.
Light and dark.
Fire and water.
Heaven and Hell.
The sky and the earth.
The sun and the moon.
Day and night
I found out why I was the 'night'
I was always the undesired one.
The negative, the dark, the fire, the hell, the earth, and the moon.
All are such lonely things... Lonely and destructive.
The moon was prized for it's beauty yes, but it was still un reachable.
The night was always a time where people would sleep and rest, and fear spread to them as they slept, an unknown fear that always creeped up into their hearts.
Was I just to be feared and hated? You're light was the only thing that ever kept me going. But your light soon left me, and eventually you too began to loathe my existence.
How much I loathed myself I don't really know. Not anymore anyway.
It would have been much better if I had never existed in the first place.
But as nature itself works. The dark and the cold is needed.
All I can do is suffer within these shadows.
That is all that's left.
