So in this little thing... My brain isn't working so XD bleh, this will be very sloppy.
So anyway, in this post we will be introduced to some of the other deities.
The Souls and "The prison guards"

They are both not all that big of a discussion at all!

(now it will be neat. I was watching YouTube For the previous paragraph...)

The Prison Guards

First should be The Prison Guards, since they appear relatively early in the series... My non-written series that I WANT to write but I'm too impatient too... Haha... Anyway, when told the name of these deities what is the first thing that comes to mind? Of course, a prison with someone guarding it! That's exactly what they are!

The prison guards are always changing each 50 years. During their time serving the prisons, they are kept in an ageless state. Sorry that wasn't a clear definition.

When you're a prison guard, it's fate. If said fated person has a disease or sickness that may kill them in the future, it won't. The prison itself is actually an alternative dimension that opens and closes on command of the guard. The dimension freezes the guards body in the time they are named guardian. Making them unable to age.

The prisoners inside the prison have the same fate, and are left there until their sentences are up. Or if they are to be killed, wait until they are to be killed! They are locked inside special chambers or rather "air pockets" in the dimension making it so they are completely unable to escape. Their only chance of escaping is when the guard takes them out for questioning.

The guard themselves are trapped as well. They can only stay 30 minutes outside of the dimension before they are forcefully brought back into it. This is a safety procedure so they aren't kidnapped or threatened to release the prisoners. They can refuse until they are transported back to safety. Another reason is the dimension cannot keep up the time freeze on the guard's body while they're away from long. It keeps them from suddenly aging -and possibly dying-

On that note, the guards when they are released from their duty, do not get let go to live the rest of their life... No, they'll dissolve. Their body become one with the dimension and their conscience slowly fades away. Unless they're a deathblood their body wouldn't handle the strain of gaining all the 50 years they were kept from aging, their body would crumble from the aging process and send them into shock probably.

Besides it would be horrible to be a good looking teen one moment then suddenly be an elder the next. They missed the chance to gain a lover and now will be single forever. Maybe. *shrugs* only deathblood's can deal with it due to their slow aging process, 50 years is only a few days to them. Hope to god that if you're chosen you're a Deathblood.

The souls

Next!!! The Souls! These deities are very well known and loved. Rather they are in children's textbooks! History textbooks for that matter! They are based loosely off Greek gods and goddesses. Loosely I said... Very loose....

The souls are noted for their massive achievement of sealing away a rampaging demon. She along with all of her henchmen where sealed into a large clay pot and taken to a secret location so that nobody may break the seal that holds her. (Not that it stops people from trying...)
The souls are a group of 12 physical gods that have the ability to purify those who have been tainted by the darkness that she (the demon) left behind before her imprisonment. Every 100 years the souls need to refresh the seal their ancestors created. Although they are gods, like the prison guards they are to disappear and then become reborn, by fate once again.
On the souls a mark appears on their body when they are born, for females it's on the left upper arm, for males it's the right upper arm. I haven't decided what the mark looks like as of yet. I will comment it later... The souls are lead by a king. The king is actually 'created' by his subjects rather than born. The desires the souls all have for their ideal king are all added together and form him.
His personality may or may not shift depending on how he grows up. But from the moment he's born he's royalty, the village he's born in has no choice but to treat him with respect.

This is not how it works for the souls. The souls are sent away from their villages/cities/towns to live in solitude for training just in case. When the time is right, the 1st soul will seek out the king and they will begin their search for the remaining eleven, and then they will be sent the location of the pot via visions.
In order to remain inconspicuous the king is born along with a special necklace
(no, when the king is born, he kinda just.... Pops out of nowhere. So the necklace is wrapped around his body when he appears.)
The necklace has 12 beads on it, harder then diamond they are. These act as capsules that the souls can ride in. They will retreat into the beads when necessary and will come out when so desired. This way there aren't a mob of random freaks coming into town. Just one guy, or two, if a soul stays out to protect their king.
It's a good way not to draw attention to oneself.
The souls are born and scattered all across the land and have unique powers, the king of course is normally a few years younger then the youngest soul. If all the souls are in their 20s then the king is in his mid-teens.

Downside time: the king is the sacrifice. His being dissolves and becomes the force that binds and strengthens the seal. But, yes, there is a way to spare the king. There must be a different sacrifice then. Another being of equal value to the king. (Easy to find) but of course, that means killing someone and destroying their future for their own selfish gain. Most Kings will quietly allow themselves to die. As it is a kings job to protect his subjects.

hmm... Must suuuuck to be one of these guys. Being a God is a horrible thing in the Rebirth universe... Haha~~!
