Running as hard as she could she ran through the beating rain.
Holding her hat so it wouldn't fly away she kept running.
The darkness she left behind seemed to howl after her.
stopping she stood on the sidewalk flooded with drops of rain.
Her eyes stared at the solid grey sky.
They squinted as droplets hit near them.
The droplets rolled down her face quickly as new ones too hit.
Her green eyes shimmered with uncertainty,
She dipped their tips of her shoes into a puddle and grimaced.
Looking back for the person she left behind she gave a somber look.
Her dress rippled like rough waves as she continued to run.
How she hated this stormy night.
The night that she became lost in the world.
