Description
I was in the mood for doing a Bamboo Blade drawing with me eventually choosing to go with Rin and I found an image of a younger version of her which I instantly wanted to draw as I loved the shorter hair. I then felt like making it a younger self and older self style drawing and I found a shot of her in her kendo gear where she is not wearing the helmet and I was so happy lol. I have wanted to draw a half body version of her kendo outfit for years but I just didn't find an image of it, I love the white colours as I feel it gives Rin a very final boss style look as it stands out against the other kendo uniforms. If Rin was explored a little bit more in the anime she probably would of been my favourite character as I just loved her rivalry with Tama (Miya Miya development was very strong).

In the original image of the kendo uniform Rin was holding a piece of armour and I decided to not add it I'm mentioning it as I was not sure on how to shape the tunic since it was covered by the armour she was holding. For this drawing I added the highlights above the forehead which is something I have not done in ages but I use to do it with my Bamboo Blade drawings and I thought it would be fun to try again. I just feel so happy with this drawing as I got to draw two versions of Rin that I think look adorable and cool .
