About 2 weeks ago I thought about drawing a cake slice but kept putting the drawing off then yesterday I thought about drawing a layered cake as well and attempted to draw the slice cut out of it but I was not sure how exactly to do it o-o. Its been a few months since I last drew a cake and even longer since I did a layered one and let's just say I was a bit rusty when it came to drawing the sections on top of each other but the layout came out pretty good in the end. For anyone who is newer to my account I use to draw a lot of cake because it is one of my favourite things to draw =^-^=, the different icing colours and decorations are fun to experiment. Usually these cakes are gifts for people as I would draw characters on the sponge sections but since this is an in general one I didn't draw characters and the decorations on the sponge are berries.

The issue I had with drawing out the sections was I made the cake too wide at first as I like to make the top section quite thin, the issue was I was trying to draw the cut off section (I solved this by just drawing out an un cut version then rubbed out the slice I wanted off). The icing has strawberries on them as well as sweets with the bottom section having circle ones, the middle section has diamond ones and the top has square ones as I thought a unique shape for each layer would look nice. The green icing came out really nice and being paired with the sponges colour gives this cake a quite earth like colour scheme :3 honestly love the colours of this cake. The big cakes plate came out looking quite weird while the slices plate looks amazing and more natural, -leaves a bunch of plates and a knife- feel free to take a piece people .
In the future I will go for a gift version of this cake style for someone just wanted to get back into the style first cause cake love .
