Description
He is one of my favourite Royal Knights as I loved the armour evolutions as it was a cool concept and the golden armour especially looks cool plus I remember him and GoldRapidmon facing Cherubimon in the movie :3. In the past I actually wanted to draw Magnamon since I have drawn Flamedramon before but the armour looked like a bit of a pain to draw but after getting to the part of the story with him in Cyber Sleuth I decided to go for it. At first he is the most on the fence of the Royal Knights as he does view humans as a threat but at the same time he does not want to wipe them out which is cool....until Nokia has to be put on a pedestal (sorry not a fan of her in the second half of the game). He joins the fight against the antagonist Royal Knights due to two of his friends being safe but to be honest I was disappointed you don't fight him in the main story as it was a potential boss fight I was excited for. Also in Data Squad there is a scene where him and Dynasmon interact which I really liked as to me it felt like they were buddies :3.

For this drawing I started with the waist guard as I thought drawing his legs and stomach off it would help me figure out where I wanted to position the rest of his body parts and it felt like the most ideal starting point (I feel middle points are very helpful for full body based drawings). For his armour colour I mixed a gold tone and light yellow which worked out quite nice and I feel happy with the brighter tone (I was kind of surprised that I used less colours for this than most of my other drawings). Drawing the un-armoured parts of Magnamon reminded me of an armour less drawing I did of Flamedramon a while a go and it makes me wonder how similar Magnamon would look if I tried a drawing in the same style.
