Last night I thought to myself why not try and draw there two during their hoverboard duel, Varis came out pretty good but I could not draw Playmaker (the image I worked from had him further back and was blurry as I could not get a side by side image of them). An amv of this duel was what got me into this series and actually watching it was amazing, as mentioned before this series has abilities that can be used in an avatar duel and Varis having the same ability as Yusaku was amazing :3. If anyone is wondering why they are on hoverboards basically they are apart of a thing called Speed Duels where there are 3 monster and spell/trap card zones available as that is suppose to up the pace of a duel. I did love this duel as Varis ends up forcing a tie just to set up a regular duel but an issue I had is Varis's underlings get introduced later and they kind of feel like a step down since Yusaku kind of beat him but it was a solid 4/5 episodes =^-^=.I drew out Varis first and the bent legs were the only part that were too much of a challenge but they only took about 3 re draws, Playmaker though was a nightmare as I kept messing up the angle and length of his legs and then I had no idea how to draw his upper body as he is suppose to have a back stance here. I ended up working from a proper image of his design but sadly he still came out simplistic (I honestly should of just done a rough outline of Varis's pose and just drew Playmakers design over it). The scenery came out really nice, I love the surrounding buildings in the image I worked from and the ones on the left came out really well even though they look kind of cartoony. The purple flow of energy under them is suppose to be a data stream as that is what characters ride on in these hoverboard duels, the energy flow honestly looks really nice although I used a brighter purple than the original
