Wow - it looks even more amazing colored! I especially like the trail of blood in the snow from the ax - how you've got it curved like he's just pulled the ax back to ready himself for a swing - it's a wonderful little detail that gives the picture a unique sense of movement.
This really is over the top! Great job!

No problem You've got a good artistic eye - some people wouldn't think to add detail like that. I love looking for unique details like that in other peoples work (I'm a stickler for details

I would really hate to be in that guy's place. The blood splatter and the gaps within the shadows are great touches.

If my brain had been working properly, I would have remembered to comment on the breath vapor and the shadows cast by the...well, whatever it is that flies out of zombie mouths.
Heh, heh. I always like it when the artist goes the extra mile with the little touches. That's what separates exceptional talent from great talent.

Here's my crit, and it all has to do with the shadows:
1) The colored shadow of the main character does not match the light source direction of the zombie shadows
2) The zombie shadows is too huge a contrast against the main character's shadow--color holding the zombie shadows may balance it out, OR inking a shadow for the main character.
Other than that, I like it.
Oh, yeah, and where are the footprints? LOL
