The artist i really despise eversince he went onboard marvel is Howard Chaykin. All his works in Marvel are really REALLY bad IMO. His take on Blade was really stupid looking. His character costume designs on Wolverine and Punisher books are horrible! Worse than 80's superhero and villains.
He may be good in other genre but superhero books? he's the worst. Even his work now in Punisher War Journal seems to have worsened.

Yeah, you know what, sometimes creators build a name for themselves, by either writing a brilliant series, or drawing really well. Sometimes, after they've had success, the name alone garners more work that isn't as deserves then they were trying harder or had more passion. I have to agree with you on his current art. I feel the same about Frank Millers' current work, it's so horrible, I'd rather he stuck to Hollywood at this point. Although they both accomplished so much at certain points in there life. We all evolve, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not.

Yeah... ive seen a lot of people in the industry evolve like Deodato and Jae Lee who both have trememdously upped their game since the 90's. These guys have been around long enough but they changed their style to adapt what works. I applaud em for that.
I juz wish both publishers and artists give/take jobs when they are suited for the work presented. Even a legend like Jim Lee couldnt make Miller's All Star Batman work coz Lee's art doesnt suit Miller's vision at all IMO.

Is this for Marvel or just for your own amusement? (sorry if you've answered/explained this elsewhere already -- I haven't been keeping up with reading journals and such.)

I did these for my agent, who will be sending these to Editors along with my other work. It's ok, I appreciate your interest, it's no big deal.

Actually, they approached me. I wasn't really aware of agencies, but a lot of Publishers, the bigger ones tend to outsource threw trusted studios. It wasn't something I was aware of.

good for you for getting noticed! agencies don't approach artists unless they think they can make a buck representing you.

I like Wolverine, how much character that is how the story also has a Hulk comic saga of where I liked how they had to change the history of the character, but then changed again and I did not like it.
