Why is that little foal just standing there out in the lawn?He keeps coming back...
I keep telling him to go home because it's late and very dark but he's not saying anything.
And Nightmare Night's not due for another 3 days.
Oh Angel, I dislike Nightmare Night...
~Fluttershy's last known words before she went missing the morning after the festivities. A camera was found in her home, laid on the floor. Much of the tape is damaged except for a couple of empty shots of the bedroom, the living room, the kitchen, and this one freeze frame of Fluttershy and what seems to be a silhouette of some figure.
A week went into the investigation, and still no leads. The little foal mentioned by Fluttershy in one of the videos was never found either.

Winners have been announced and unfortunately, I wasn't anywhere near winning. Oh well, it was fun making the piece either way ^_^
I got Honorable Mention though (hehe, like that's even a thing XD).

This is very well done, I love the anatomy and expression. The shading and perspective is just absolutely perfect beyond belief, I know for a fact I could not pay attention to the all of the details you did. Good luck in the contest, you definitely deserve the win out of the pieces I saw! This was definitely the creepiest, yet beautifully done, entry. Really gave me some Halloween chills reading the description too.

Thanks for the support ^_^ I had this scary story in mind the moment I read about the contest. Sadly, Fluttershy had to take the blow for this one (sorry, Flutters) XD. The piece itself is actually easier than it looks. A bit of painting here and a couple of post-blending effects there.
It would be kinda cool if I had a speed-painting video of this. I've been meaning to do one for a while. Just something simple like a tutorial or something.Β

I blended them in after I was done painting the scene. Kinda like post-process stuff. I was NOT gonna paint each individual line in. That would've taken forever! XD

It's the little things that make a piece pop, quick question since it has been racking on my brain... hand drawn night effect? or some sort of programed effect? Either or it adds to the atmosphere nicely.Β

If you're talking about the camera static then that's just a texture I blended in. I was not gonna paint each individual line for that because that was gonna take forever
