Description
I have been on a school-trip to Rome last week. One of the things we visited was the Galleria Borghese.
We weren't allowed to take our cameras with us but they didn't object when I took my pencil, my eraser and some paper with me.
So after I had visited the whole Galleria I sat before Bernini's David and I began sketching his face.
I like his expression of intense concentration. You can see he is ready to strike and to kill Goliath.
It was one of the first times I tried to draw a statue but I'm rather pleased with the result.
Of course it is far less vivid and well done than the statue itself but for a first time it isn't that bad... I think. Tell me if you think otherwhise.
I'm still learning to draw so comments, critique and advice are more than welcome
