Description
Turns out Springtrap can actually do something right by sheer accident. Go figure, eh?FNAF and all its assorted characters belong to Scott Cawthon.

Battle rezzes. Person's lost enough health that it should kill 'em? Bam, giftbox. Give gifts, give life.

"Oh, right. Β Trees are a thing.".
Sounds like me in a nutshell when I try to walk past a wall---keywords, TRY---and run right into it!
Only I utter out a "Where did that door/wall/rug" come from!??!".
LOL

Conversation with one of my betas, while she looked over an in-progress version:
Her: So does he have a pessimism-based AOE attack?
Me: Pretty much, yeah.
Her: *cackles*
Good thing he's grumpy most of the time, huh?

"Pessimism-based AOE attack"
I gotta put that somewhere.

Yeah! Now the only question here is: are the other attacks attitude-based as well?
π: 0 β©: 1
RuneVix In reply to skyetoon [2016-07-03 18:58:41 +0000 UTC]
I'm thinking that the attacker has to be in the right mindset for the attacks to go off properly-you're distracted or off your game or the like, and the attack or heal is likely to miss or be weak. (Or as seen with Springtrap, backfire.)
Some of this is a bit based off experience in WoW; if you're not in the right headspace to play, you may end up going '...wait, how did I pull half the r-OH GOD.'

Oh, I enjoy these.Β This "training session" reminds me of when I was first playing it, before Scott put any description s of the attacks or any other program notes into the game.Β I blindly thrashed around, trying to figure out how to get anything done.Β I'll never forget the time I was defeated by freakin' JJ!
I've never managed to get Spring Bonnie into my party.Β Never.

I got my party killed a lot at first; phantom Chica terrorized my poor, underleveled group. And I've managed to get Funtime Foxy on hard mode, and Springtrap on normal...but Spring Bonnie has never shown up. All I want to do is use my comic cast in-game; the RNG is not in my favor.

I know how to hack the save file.Β I've read about it, but I haven't done it, because, well, what does it accomplish?Β Get me a trophy I haven't earned?Β Whoop-dee-diddly-doo.
I once got Springtrap very early in the game.Β I was in the glitch world and he showed up.Β I buzz-sawed through the next few scenarios!

RuneVix In reply to Negaduck9 [2016-07-02 19:46:44 +0000 UTC]
I looked up how to hack, but I'm not sure if it's because I got the game through Steam or what-I can't seem to access the save file. Maybe I need to try again.
Springtrap hitting like a truck is what kicked this whole thing off, really. I went from 'great design, too bad the character's an asshole' to 'okay, and his adventure version is great to have along. Still an asshole.' to 'Hey, I've got an idea based on this game...' to 'crap. Now I'm ATTACHED to this asshole.'

*laughs*Β How do you think I feel?Β Springtrap is the most popular character in my comic BECAUSE he's an asshole!
The save file is a text file.Β Its location in my computer is C:\Users\**\AppData\Roaming\MMFApplications, ** being my username.Β Open that with Notepad, edit it, and you're set.Β If you can't find that directory, it's probably because AppData is a hidden folder.Β In Windows explorer, go to the "View" tab up top and check "Hidden files" in the Show/Hide group.Β (All this assumes Windows 10.Β It'll work in other versions, more than likely, though the show/hide thing might be in a different place.)

RuneVix In reply to Negaduck9 [2016-07-02 22:47:31 +0000 UTC]
I think part of it may be because assholes bounce off the rest of the cast interestingly. Also, they tend to get the best lines. And I have Windows 7, but I'll have to give that a shot. It's that or grinding. So, so much grinding.

Welp. I'm guessing that He has good hearing. I'm also, guessing that's why his other ear is not half gone cause he needed to have a useful talent to hear by having both ears for a reason.

He has both ears because the model in-game still has both. Why that is is a question only Scott can answer.
