normal/ghostThe eye mask with the two descending marks are meant symbolize a simplified torii. The stylized hachi “ハ” and the double-lobed shape on its tummy form a ghostly face. The bottom shape also hints at *ahem* another common attribute of tanukis, stylistically of course.
