This little fella is based on me!
I imagine Rush to be my "what I want to be" character, while Ruby was how I acted mostly in 2005, always lazy, chill, shy. While on the other hand Rush is always on the line if a friend needs help, and he acts even when he's afraid. I think that both still represents me, while I'm more on the "Rush" side now!

Red is my favorite color since I was 5 and played sonic & Knuckles (he's my favorite Sonic character!) so I had to make my character of my favorite shade of red! (which is changed along the year, the new Ruby is of a way more darker and less orange red!)He's changed a little from the first sketch, but I kept his design extremely simple, like Sonic.

Since he was little, Ruby was sure that he didn't have any special ability or
power. One day, he discovered that he's actually capable of blocking other character's powers by touching em (a little like Aizawa from my hero academia!) he can even absorb beams and other special attacks, but when he do so, some time must pass 'till he can do it again. The stronger the attack he absorb or block, the more he needs to rest.
