Description
This is a rift warior with a "thing" acompanying her... >.< Long story short (its for a comic I'm making for RSOM) She's a new type telapathic warior who has the ability to use her mind to tear holes in the fabric of space and forge tunnels to new dimensions... "the thing" is an archaic alien lifeform that was discovered in a derilict fleet in subspace... ya...LOL notice the resemlence to 'Red' I kinda copied it when I did the first sketch... wich kinda pisses me off now (with all that work into it)
Started this 6 months ago as a speed painting ontop of a rather boring sketch... then decided to add details and just kept going with it till I sunk at least 70 hours into it... much of the detail is not visable at this resolution but... full veiw and its plenty spectacular enough... Its stll not completly done... as you can see the back leg of "thing" is still pretty lame... and I haven't added many lighting atmosphere effects (but I think I'll not bother with that)
Maybe I'll show the different layers so you can see the process I went through...
Tools: adobe photoshop + wacom + a .3mm pencil (sort of)

*edit*... hahaha wow... looking back this kinda sucks for as much time and detail I put into it LOL (you know hao you think it's so great when you first make it, but then later it doesn't seem as good) That makes me think that maybe I got better or at least have higher expectations >.>

hmm ... It's not realy a bike... I'll have to make another picture of it that isn't so ambigious... If you look at it the left is its head and it has to arms that are visible and its back legs are the unfinished bits ^.^

Hey nice to see an update. Over 70 hours!? You are a patient man. Nice details, I can definitely see the love you put into it, although I agree with the others that a larger version would be nice so we can really appreciate those details. The alien looks sweet, but the girl seems a bit stiff--but I know you said it's not finished, although honestly to me it looks finished enough. Nice!

I do love the detail you've done with this one, but I must say it isn't your best work, but I guess thats because it is still a work in progress sorta. But her right hand should be seen at least a bit if you look at the shoulder and angle of the hip. The knees also aren't quite in the right spot, I'd say, or at least it looks a bit ackward. But, I do like the eyes, those are nice! And the metal looks beautiful and metalic, your specialty!

Wow, it's more than obvious enough that you have worked very hard and spent a lot of time on this picture. Seriously, the individual details in this picture look very stunning, especially the metallic parts.
