the thing that i love is the fact that it looks like she's got air bubbles above her mouth, but im guessing it was water that she spit out at just the right moment? idk, its still a neat effect. amazing shot!

I think it's made on a Glass Door, from the side of the model seems like a mirror and on the other side it's like a glass, that door probably have fluorescent tubes through all the frame, so the model it's seeing herself on the mirror and it's like trying to hit herself or something.
I said something nearly right?
Cya!

the lack of red...is this to show that she is lost or has lost her strength or does it really have nothing to do with it

It's a very nice picture... full of drama! A wonderful celebration of the endless beauty of the female form. I have a few guesses as to the technique. They're probably wrong, so unless there's a paid vacation or some other prize involved, I'll let others try to figure it out. : )

Seems like she's trapped in ice. If not, then she's just throwing a cool pose, while covered in silver and pressing up against a normal glass door. :-p

emmm not to sound bad as Im no good at photography myself but what do you mean how its done? Its a woman pushing herself up against a door with a light in the background.. I'm not terribly sure what it is Im ment to be getting.. I mean the theme of her being frozen or trying to get in aren't subtle, am I missing something? Is there more to it that I'm supposed to see? I'm not putting down the piece of work.. it's a great picture but I just don't see what else I'm ment to be getting from it other than what it looks like.

they're talking about the production of the photo, the printing and developing regarding the grain and blue tones.

pihjin In reply to ivoryacidlust [2005-05-09 22:54:59 +0000 UTC]
ah okay.. its a production question.. I see.. well not knowing alot about photography I can't make too much of an educated guess other than to say I've produced similar effects in photoshop.
Thank you for clarifying that

eheh np, i didnt really even read the comments until after i posted. i figured she was looking through a glass door. the photo is nice, but i really dont understand why everyones got a stick up their ass about how it was created. WHO CARES?

right back atcha.. basically the pic caught my attention from the thumbnail because it is, quite simply, and interesting picture. But then there's the description asking the viewer how its done adn I saw fifty million people commenting about this and I just thought I was missing out on something.. that there was something major I couldn't see.

Hmm besides guessing about the paint I keep looking at this and wondering if you did any trick with a mirror. I just sort of feel like there's some sort of... mirror image go on here... Haha nevermind. Very nice though, it's so terribly desperate looking and sad. And sort of horror movie - esque
