As he has gills and webbed fingers and toes (of which he only has three each of the latter), Gill is very at home in the water. His hair that grows around his gills doesn't really inhibit his ability to breathe underwater much, but it is easier with that area shaved, so when he can, he does. the webbing on his fingers and toes is very flexible, and doesn't inhibit his ability to wear gloves or strappy shoes, as long as they aren't too tight. Hurray for dual respiratory systems!
