"The Separatists attempted to take over the world [Mirial], prompting the Republic to send Jedi in an effort to defend the planet. A Jedi and his Padawan helped the Boessta family free themselves from a squad of droids. During that struggle, Gill, under the threat of danger to his family, suddenly expressed a significant amount of potential in the Force, through a burst of desperation. He also gained a significant laceration across his face. The Jedi told Gill and his family that he could someday be strong in the Force, but that he needed to be careful that he not let his fear control him.
