This could happen to you too if you don't clean out your dryer vent. One of my neighbors turned on his clothes dryer and was about to leave for lunch when smoke filled up his condo. The fire burned into the wall and ceiling in a matter of minutes and could have burned his house up if he had not borrowed our extinguisher and called 911.
