Description
Done in Paint tool SAI, last step in Adobe Photoshop-Use the soft brush on everystep, just change the size ( from big to small)
-First step is on normal layer with light color (basic color)
-In the second step create new layer with ( LUMINOSITY SETTING ) and select bright color (soft brush !)
-Repeat this in every step, always create new layer with LUMINOSITY , use lighter and lighter color in every step !
-Use some sparkle dots brush in Photoshop to add some cool effect at the end , you can use effect color dodge to make the dots glow

A wonderful tutorial, its amazing how great things can look with with even the most simple of techniques. XD
I will have to see if Gimp has any luminosity settings for any of my brushes. otherwise, its just manual adjustment for me

Color dodge/burn is a tool in photoshop. Dodge kind makes things lighter, and burn makes them darker or look burnt.

glow only works because of contrast to make something glow you first have to make it darker. it doesn't even have to be the BG but the object itself. and ofcorse how it interacts with objects around it. when you paint glow ur painting a secondary lightsource

You should ask Leroy Green, he knows ALL about the glow.

yes, glow dodge (or color dodge) is the equivalent to the luminosity layer in paint tool sai.
