She used Blur on the some of the skin and hair's shading and she didn't really make it black to white if you were referring to 2 & 3. If you can see in 3, the ones in 2's just under the new white strokes

You might have the newer version. If that's the case; scroll down in your tool box.
There's a single row of some other tools in there.
Blur is one of them.
I have no idea why its set up that way. XD Let me know if you can't find it.
