I either use SAI or photoshop. I do hair fairly well, but doing it based on the tut was a toughy. I'm pretty sure there was some masking involved for clean lines. I suck at dat clean edges thing.

I agree, the pics don't help em at all :/ I'd prefer a little text explaining the process. But I guess it's different learning styles, eh?

     I would prefer the text too, but if I were the artist, I would do these tuts this way knowing it's still hard. Now you might be asking why would I do that, and the reason is simply that I think people benefit more from a study or practice when they have to figure out the aspects of it on their own. If they can connect the dots themselves, they will grow from it.


     That's just my two cents, though. xD

I suppose it allows you to figure out your own technique, but I personally don't even bother looking at tutorials without text cus I can't always figure out what's changed in the image, especially as more and more details are added D:
