haha, not a problem, amigo. you some nice work. i only recently rekindled my love for the show and to see art like this makes me happy i was part of that generation... and even typing that, i have the daria voice going on in my head, as creepy as that sounds.

YOU, sir, are a TRUE. DARIA FAN! Yeah, yeah, I know, stating the obvious. But making your OWN Daria "episode" in the TRUE fashion of the show, I CAN'T FREAKIN' BELIEVE IT!

Everything except the script is a dream come true. Beautiful, perfect, phenominal. Even the choice of music is flawless. For keeping Daria alive, in all her animated glory, I salute you.
I think the script is sub-par, though. That is the only thing. And also one of the only things *you* didn't do. In the future I think you should find a better script writer.
To be constructive I'll explain why.
Tiffany: Yeah, and he hates it.
It would make more sense if she explained about when she saw Sandi bathing and drying her cat. Sure they're friends and that might have happened before, but a more specific example would work better. Otherwise it sounds awkward for the non-cat owner to say it.
Sandi: ...cousin would know a better way to dry a cat.
Sandi always has to be in control and viewed as the most knowledgeable. (except for 'brain' things like math or something) I can't see her ever admitting to needing help or advice about anything unless she was extremely desperate.
Quinn: She probably would, the know it all. But she'd probably charge me for telling me.
Sandi: Gee Quinn, you seem to know a lot about her. Are you sure you two aren't *closer* then you've previously indicated? Perhaps you're secretly more like her and not worthy of being the vice president of the fashion club.
Quinn: Eeew, Sandi of *course* not. Could you ever picture me as a brain?
Sandi: Hmm..I suppose not.
Quinn would rather be shot than reveal how well she and Daria actually know each other. Even post season 5 I think she'd volunteer as little information about Daria as she possibly could.
Daria: Be sure to get in on video and we'll send it in to sick sad world.
That doesn't make any sense at all. Is she talking to Jane? Jane, having access to Sandi's inner sanctum? Not in a million years.
Jane: If only we could tape it. That would make a killer 'sick sad world' entry.
Daria: She's certainly sick and sad enough.
Jane: 'All she wanted was a quicker way to dry her cat. Now her and a charred fluffy are yowling in the dark of a blown fuse. Microwaveable pets, next on sick sad world'.
Daria: Oh well. We'll just have to stay entranced with the thought of what might have been.
Jane: Pizza after school?
Daria: Sure. The indigestion from too many greasy slices from Pizza Shack is the only thing that can take away the indigestion from standing within hearing distance of the fashion club for too long.
Jane: Like over exposer to radiation?
Daria: Yeah, except unfortunately no one dies.

In defense of Lawndale Stalker, his story was written years ago and not for this. I was seeking a story that was short, had a small number of scenes/characters/lines but interesting enough to animate. All your points are good but a tight story wasnβt the goal, the story isnβt even canon (Sandiβs not that dumb). The goal was to build a proof of concept for possible future full length fan made Daria animations.
Since then, a script for a full length fan made Daria episode has been completed, but rest assured, written by someone else, a professional script writer and at least a year and a half (on and off) of though & editing went into it. Iβll begin animating that once I can get some voices for it. Thanks for your post, I enjoyed your thoughts on my work.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. I didn't mean to go on for so long, but I have so much love for the series, and you've done such a good job recreating Lawndale that I guess I got a little finicky. After all, I think the best part of the show was the incrediblely clever dialogue, so.... I got protective. Sorry about that.

Reminds me of a fanfic I did with a simmilar theme.
Scene: A microwave on one of those wallpaper pasting tables with Brainiac tape around the edge (Yeahp, another Brainiac crossover probably getting a touch formuleic now, but this is 'Scenes that shouldn't be', so here we are.).
Tiffany: walks towards the micrwave carrying Sandi's cat.
Voice Of God type voice: "STOP!!!"
Scene freezes.
Split screen with Stacy standing ... I dunno, somewhere.
Stacy: "The following experiment is dangerous and should not be attempted, for your own safety and the safety of those around you, do not try this at home."
Screen: unsplits, and resumes for a few seconds before freezing again, and splits with a close-up of Stacy.
Stacy: "No really: Don't."
Scene: unsplits again and resumes.
Tiffany: Put's Fluffy in the microwave, turns it on and legs it.
Stacy: Voiceover "A microwave oven heats food items by agitating water molecules with ultra-high frequency radio waves. Sandi's cat, whom we're using because frankly we're sick of Sandi's constant stream of emotional abuse, will first experience heat stroke, by the time it knows to panic, it can't."
Fluffy: continues turning around within his confines, and eventually lays down.
Stacy: Voice over "Fluffy will die before anything visually interesting happens, but think of what happens with an egg, and you have roughtly what'll happen here, the water will boil within the cat's carcass and will expand, if the cat was on a fire, the abdomen would probably explode first because it is the weakest point, this was used in medieval warfare with pigs placed at the end of a tunnel underneath a castle's wall prior to the introduction of low explosives. However, evaporation uses energy, so the cat's brain will heat up faster, untiiiiiiiil:-"
Fluffy: starts to swell up in the abdominal section, then his head explodes, blowing off the microwave door and denting the walls outwards, cat brains fly everywhere.
Stacy Rowe: Voiceover "-His skull ruptures and explodes. We do these experiments so you don't have to, do not, try this, at home."

Daria uses music created by other bands, it probably takes forever to get permission from each band in order to release the DVDs.

indeed the DVD has been released but all the bands music removed because they couldn't get permission.. tis really werid to watch, but its Daria so who cares

Voices took a bit to get used to but power to anyone who can get close to that flat mono tone of Daria's voice and the hollow-with-occasional-squeak of Jane. You just got my entire university class in fits of laughter! <3
