I guess i should answer all these questions.. Would it be too abrupt if this would be the first panel? and we didn't know her story? or should i have a previous panel in which we get to meet the girl and find out more ... gah! i'm so bad at story telling

I like seeing the different materials... so charcoal isnβt your thing? ( I donβt mean it looks bad .... just the impression I get from one of your responses. ) Charcoal is pretty chaotic.... I like using it, but usually only when I work on a larger piece..... and boy am I a mess when Iβm done .... there are always fat little hand prints all over everything for me
Still in a holiday coma but wanted to stop by when I saw you had something new up. The narrative is thick in this one.... and it was a cool surprise for me piecing it together ... my eyes bounced back and forth between the female figure and the distant pair of shadows before I noticed the knife... it was a bit jolting....
I really appreciate the distance in this... and the feeling that she is submerged in foliage and shadow....the other figures are at the edge of their own darkness... and there is light and exposure between them keeping them apart.
...the elements make me feel her seething mind.Β

On a side note I am having trouble responding to some things .... Charcoal .. well.. it is the first time i used it XD.. I'm sure i need a fixative for it. I also have more than 6 fingertips placed in random places
I thank you soo much for letting me know about the impact of the knife in the whole scenario.. i did try to gather all the important elements in a small area but i didn't think of it too much.. your words help me so much to understand how this is seen

Could be revenge or it could be protection. In the wilderness it's a dice roll.
I like so much about this sketch. I like all the ghostly figures sprinkled throughout. I'm intrigued by the walkway mirroring a sort of cryptic scroll. A scroll that possibly tells her story.
Always a treat to enter your world of art, Sabina...another fine job
