while its not the type of relationship Amarok remembers, they can still feel the friendship between them
the relic, the dog collar, is still in use, basically unchanged
it makes Amarok feel good that the dogs of the present can still live alongside humans
was this what x was trying to show them?
they still feel lonely, that there is no way they could have that again themselves, but it does warm their heart that others can feel what they used to feel

i think X would be satisfied with how Amarok reacts
Amarok was a little bitter and kept their distance from anything man-made because of their loneliness,
but X opened their eyes
Amarok was being childish, letting their own emotions get in the way of their duty to the north circle
