I'm clearly jumping wayy ahead of myself, or rather back tracking depending how you look at it!

Very hard to explain what's going on until I post more about what/how Familiar's work in Drawn to Life. I'll probably make a visual guide at some point pre-explaining it before I get into the more nitty gritty of Drawn to Life on Wattpad. But since DA seems to really like Wolf!Derrick, I figured why not do some more art of him?

But essentially, this takes place after the events of episode 8: Take my Out of the Ballgame (McGee&Me canon) where Thurman Miller invites Nicholas for a private batting lesson after they lose the state final.

Nicholas of course brags about this to his friends, to which Derrick over hears. Without giving too much away, Thurman and Derrick DO NOT like one another (made clear in the episode as well, but we dive into this more in The Wolf and The Huntsman) and Derrick doesn't like how Thurman has been using Nicholas's admiration to his advantage.

So, Derrick, not trusting of Thurman, goes to check in on Nicholas just to be safe, when he sees something is terribly wrong that is leaving Nicholas very uncomfortable and begging Thurman to stop. However, when Nicholas' pleas are ignored, pissed off wolf boy merges with his Familiar half and leaps into action to protect Nicholas, pictured here.

Also, no, Derrick nor Thurman notice McGee, he eventually hides from their sight. The teen boys are too busy staring down one another to notice him.

I wont go into a tangent on the rest and will probably do a one-shot of this scene.

Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty proud of the symbolism shown here with Derrick's paw on home plate, Nicholas almost in a sliding stop position.

...and if anyone is new here, yeah I turned a Christian TV kids show into a BL/Fantasy/Romance across the board. Sue me.

Finally, do feel free to ask questions, I don't mind spoiling stuff or going into longer tangents in the comments.
