I would have looked much better if you'd used a dark blue or purple to shade instead of the black - you should never use black in a painting unless you're going for a specific effect, use dark complimentary colours instead. (The opposite colour to green is purple - mixing green and purple creates deep shadows and looks far better. It took me forever to learn this and I'm still learning...) Still, this is a very clever method, well worth the DD. I'll have to give it a try some time.

hey, that's only one style-school. I use black everywhere, and yes I know the method with using other colors to create shadow (I just use it coz I want, it doesn't come from my ignorance). Tho I think you have right in this one- it's a tutorial and I sould have mention or do it this way

It is entirely possible. I've been there and comemted on stuff there, and I don't think there are many people who have my icon, as I've yet to see anyone else with it.
