The Arctic regions of Triyagard are said to be one of the strangest environments on the continent. its frosty plains are shrouded in cold steam mists jetting up from ancient cracks, crags and cold vents dotting the terrain. The jets originate from volcanic vents deep withing the earth releasing hot vapors that are long cooled by the time they come roiling out from the ground as thick, wet fog. The added moisture in the air causes the region to consistently be 3-5degrees colder than it's neighboring environments. The thick clouds of mist constantly blowing about greatly lowers visibility in this place, making it very easy to lose one's way.

Ruling over this frozen wasteland is the Ohsohs. The ohsohs stands 6ft tall at its shoulders, and roams the arctic plains as an apex predator, though it rarely is seen attacking any prey. Along with its large size, Ohsohs have rock-like plates or protuberances that cover their heads, shoulders and knees, a sharp spade at the tip of its tail, and powerful jaws that house a row of curved teeth. Added to this is the deadly nature of this animal's bite. An ohsohs' saliva contains numerous different bacteria and neurotoxins that are fatally toxic to most animals, birds, and even fish. Exposure to these toxins causes mild hallucinations and muscle contractions in its victims within mere minutes with the effects increasing with both time and increased exposure. Prolonged exposure of the toxins will result in full paralyzation eventually leading to death.

Attacks are rarely reported mainly because of the fast-acting neurotoxin leading to rapid incapacitation, but also due to the fact that a bite is not required for the toxin to take effect. The neurotoxin takes effect fastest once it has entered the blood-stream, however, it can also be inhaled and enter through the skin. Ohsohs have cracks and vents in the stony protuberances, as well as a set of vents along their sides. When breathing, Ohsohs exhale their toxins through these vents as a thick, misty vapor that mingles with the foggy environment, odorless and deadly. The fact that the thick vapor prevents the toxins from traveling too far from their origin does little in this low-visibility environment. Ohsohs are extremely silent beasts and will silently tail their intended prey, breathing out the thick noxious fumes, intoxicating their victims until they can reach out with their long slimy tongues with a quick kiss of death.
