Description
Very simple colors of Skrrpt the Archaeopteryx. He's basically a guira cuckoo (Guira guira) with an Archaeopteryx frame. This pose is based exactly on Scott Hartman's (*shartman ) illustration of the Thermopolis SpecimenWhen I look at cuckoos (guiras being one of my favorites) I think of Archaeopteryx. The build of the bird, the lax feathers, the colors...yup, little dinosaurs.
Pose © Scott Hartman (I just gave it plumage)

Aww! He looks like he's got Little Bird Syndrome! And I totally agree with you on the cuckoos.

Little dinosaurs indeed.
Though... that's often what I think of any bird I see. XD I miss having a bird in my life.

There are so few accurate Archaeopteryx illustrations out there that it truly warms my heart whenever I see one. Very nice work.

Soo beautiful, and amazing anatomy :3
Haha, whenever I think of the word cuckoo I think of how cheeky those birds are for hijacking the nests of other birds and making them care for their young.
