Creature name: Spine worm
Element: Earth
Habitat: Forests, desert, etc.
Intelligence: High
Average size: 2.5m long, 40 cm wide.
Attacks through biting and constriction, similar to that of a snake. Able to use moderate skill requiring spells and magic. Usually unaggressive unless hunting or provoked, if threatened it will attempt to kill the threat through suffocation or flee if said threat is too large. It's "spine" are a series of bony plates which protect it from assaults from above. It is covered in thick scales of green and yellow with a brown pattern running down the base of the spine. It has stiff bony "arms" along it's body which aid it in traversing terrain while keeping it's core away from harm. The brown core which is attatched to it's chest is the main source of magical energy for the creature, but also it's life energy. If the core is too badly cracked or damaged, the creature will die.
