Physical Appearance: The Light Gripper greatly resemble a armored Light Fury, but with a closer look, you'll realise it actually has some of the Deathgripper's resemblance. The Light Gripper has armored plates on its head going down to its tail with colorful markings on its body. It has four small teeth showing out of its mouth, which can also get longer if the dragon feels threatened or wants to fight. Just like the Light Fury, this dragon has the same body shape, and the same four nubs and fins on its forelegs. It also possesses the same tailfins, though which are now covered of a stinger, similar to the Deathgripper's. The Light Gripper also possesses spikes on its body, allowing itself to injure enemies in fights and also serve as defense. Their front legs are protected by a thick layer of armor and pincers, which are served to attack and grip onto foes. Light Grippers are generally dark-light colored.

Length:

  • 28 feet long, 6 feet tall

Wingspan:
  • 42 feet long

Firepower: Light Grippers are very precise with their acid blasts. They usually target the stronger beings first, then target the less dangerous ones. Their acid blasts explode upon impact, which then acts like a strong acid that melts almost anything it touches. This fire can be used for dangerous experiments, so use with caution! Acid blasts are green in color with a tint of purple in the middle. This fire can also explode in the sky, which also allows the Light Gripper to camouflage, though, this makes the air poisonous, yet not for the Light Gripper, but for other animals and vikings especially. The air is poisoned for a certain amount of time, so the mist takes a few minutes or more to disappear.

Diet: Light Grippers are fish eaters, as they prefer the taste of fish rather than other animals. Though, starving Light Grippers will eat anything than just fish, dragons included, meaning they are cannibals. These dragons can also target vikings as their daily meals, but rare were the victims of these fearsome creatures.

Rareness: Being a Hybrid, Light Grippers are a rare sight out in the wild being they mainly live on Dragonstone Island due to the threat of Hunters roaming around Light Furies and Deathgripper barely communicate with one another, so the chance of a viking seeing these gorgeous creatures in the wild and up close is almost none.

Venomous Stinger: Obtaining the venomous scorpion-like stinger from their Deathgripper parentage, the Lightgripper can withdraw it into the center of its heart shaped tail fin within a special sheath. Small doses of the venom have sedative effects on both humans and dragons.

The first strike from the stinger paralyzes the victim, making it calm and obedient. The second strike puts an end to its suffering, and the third turns the prey's body poisonous to the touch.

Speed and Agility: Their speed and agility is equal to that of their parent species. very fast in the air and on land. They can fly fast enough to catch up to a Night Fury and move quickly to deliver deadly strikes on their victims. They were shown to be very agile making complex aerodynamic moves in the air

Cloaking: Lightgrippers share the Light Furies ability of Heat Invisibility - a form of cloaking that occurs when they heat up the trace silicates in their skin, causing their scales to have mirror-like qualities, allowing them to temporarily blend in with their surroundings using reflection of the light.

Strength and Combat:
With the combined strengths and combat skill of the Light Fury and Deathgripper, these dragons pincers and stingers are capable of piercing wood and stone, as well as pulling and prying blocks from structures. Their sheathed scorpion tails can be wielded as a bludgeon as well.

Lightgrippers are also adept climbers, easily crawling up vertical stone walls and chains while pursuing their prey.

Endurance and Stamina: As Strike Class Dragons and as a hybrid, their endurance and stamina are incredibly high

Acute Senses: Lightgrippers have acute senses of smell and hearing, able to hear even the faintest of sounds.

Intelligence:
Lightgrippers are highly intelligent dragons, able to understand human vocal commands, hand commands, strategize attacks and defense and even devise intricate hunting strategies. These involve stalking the prey, causing a brief scuffle in which the dragon pretends to lose but leaves a small wound on the prey's body, and then tracking them with their blood. They will patiently wait until the small dose of venom in the wound paralyzes the prey before dragging it inside their nest to be eaten

Weaknesses: Like Deathgrippers, LightGrippers, like Speed Stingers and Deathgrippers are susceptible to their paralyzing venom, which can even be used against them. They also cannot dive bomb within combined spaces.

Behavior and Personality: Light Grippers are generally aggressive and territorial, and challenge any new dragon that enter its territory, other Light Grippers included. They are not afraid of killing or hurt others. They are very cautious and attack any nearby viking ships they see. Female Light Grippers are incredibly aggressive, especially during breeding season. Instead of Male Light Grippers fighting, females fight with one another, and the male decides which one is worth staying with. It may not look like it, but Light Grippers are very caring for one another once they are for-life mates.

Their eggs are well protected by the male, while the female guards fiercely the nest from other dragons. Anything that aren't ally, they chase away or kill. Light Grippers that bonded with a viking or more will show eternal loyalty to him/her/them. It can recognize one or more vikings just by looking at their faces. These dragons will return the favor of those that helped it once it has the possibility to do so. They will respect them and not attack their home, going to protect them from foes.

Training: If already wary of humans, LightGrippers can be very aggressive towards them thus extremely difficult to train. However, its trust can slowly be earned. If a person saves a LightGrippers life, the dragon will be grateful and loyal to them. Another way is to find its egg and train it from when it hatches.
