Description

I can't remember who requested my Skyward Sword Link next but here he is. Going from left to right I included his casual outfit, the Academy Uniform (Which I decided all students wear upon admittance into the academy) and his final outfit with all the accessories he gained through his adventure. I also included my redesign for the loftwings as I wanted them to look more Dragon-like.

BEFORE THE ADVENTURE

Link is the son of one of the Knights who graduated the academy and now patrol the skies around Skyloft. His mother died soon after he was born so Link spent a majority of his youth at the academy sitting in the rooms with the instructors and spending free time with Zelda. Due to his years in the academy listening to the instructors Link has learned all of the lessons well before he was old enough to join the classes himself, now that he's attending all of the information is stuff he's already learned and memorized and so he spends most of his days daydreaming or "not taking anything seriously". As he grew up in the academy with Zelda the two grew up close and even with they start attending the classes they remain thick-as-thieves, much to the irritation of some of their peers.

DURING THE ADVENTURE

During his journey Link showed his knowledge and understanding of what he learned all those years growing in the academy while also helping to record information for the instructors during his times to the surface. He kept a journal that he used to record what he saw and what Fi would tell him about the world and the local flora and fauna of the locations that he'd visit. He worked to forge and strengthen the Goddess Sword into the Master Sword. Whenever Link returned to Skyloft he would share his findings with the instructors at the academy and help those around his home before falling back below the clouds.
During his journey he met members of races he'd never seen before and made allies that would help him after gaining their trust and, after he joined Link on the surface, Groose became a strong ally when it came to protecting the sealed temple and protecting those inside.

AFTER THE ADVENTURE

After defeating Demise and saving Zelda, the majority of Skyloft's populace started settling on the surface in the area surrounding the Sealed Temple, since it is where their Goddess statue is now housed. They were comfortable in the area as it was one they had the most knowledge on from Link's information provided during his travels. In the end Link was unable to settle down and relax after seeing only a small portion of the surface so he set out again to travel, recording as much as he can without Fi's assistance and returning to the growing surface settlement with his findings from time to time though it is rare for Link to spend more that a few nights at the settlement before taking his leave once again.
