Or one of the many mods for skyrim. But I have so many I can't tell you which one. But that was is what jumped right into my head and it was only after I read the title that I realize it was not inspired by skyrim. And you are talking about the gildergreen tree quest.
This is one of my favorite pieces on DA.

Thanks so much! I came back to playing Skyrim a bit, still haven't explored it entirely. The place is huge and although I have played it with numerous characters I'm not done exploring it. I expect I'd be installing it again sometime in the future.

Hehe, why not? Always dreamt of a house by the lake. It can be a house with a hut next to it next to a lake somewhere in Ireland

I like that the edges are so sharp on your picture, it makes it so clean visually.
Very-very nice! I also like that even though there are no people on the image you gave us some hints so we can imagine them.

Thanks, those sharp edges weren't always there !
I tried to put those hints in there but nothing can really replace the presence of people, and I think you pointed out something I missed myself

What do you mean by "they weren't always there"?
Oh, okay. I am sure they are hunting somewhere and will get back soon.

Oh, I mean that I always had a problem getting my works to look sharp and now it's much better!
Like, my older works would look fuzzy and very messy. They still are messy in a sense but more to my satisfaction.

Damn you work well with colors! Wow, this looks great. (though, I agree with the right-bending someone mentioned earlier)

Yep, that obnoxious right bending. Thanks for the comment Keren!

The whole painting looks like it's bending to the right, but I like it that way. Great work, as always

to parody Donkey from the first Shrek movie: "You're the hut MASTER, you master the huts!"

Hey dude!
Huge growth to this image. Your variety of edges REALLY makes this feel pro. The foreground trees and house are pretty crisp, but the grass, targets, and mountains are a lot softer. Gives me a sense of focal point as well as depth.
Love the color scheme. Acid autumn is my favorite color scheme.
I'm into the inclusion of the targets and the water tower/watch post in the back. The texture on the house is awesome, as is that red tree on the left.
I'd really love to see you take this one a tad further. Make some even sharper edges/details on the house. There's also something funky about the way the gold/orange triangle is intersecting with the top white cloud.
Finally your focal point right now is that top window, because there's so much contrast there plus it's sort of halo-ed by the sky. My eye gets stuck there and doesn't move through the image if I don't force it. I'd see if you can put some more highlights/contrast in other parts of the house, as well as see if you can get the clouds to lead my eye over to the right tree. Once I'm at that tree, the picture really moves. I think maybe pulling a few more highlights onto the trees, rocks, etc could really help unify the lighting and increase the flow.
I'm talking complex composition stuff though, which is where you're at. Really great illustration.

Thanks! <3
I'm copying this to a notepad and will review it again when I draw the next landscape. This stuff is really helpful and thanks for the effort you put into those comments.
Cheers!

I also agree in the future -- I love the skewed right, but we need a few more verticals or lefts to anchor us.

The hut kind of reminds me of an Indonesian longhouse. And the whole scene has a nice inner life to it.

Though I really like this little hut I'd like you to draw something else like... dunno... something more irish ;D
An irish hut! With sheep. Hussah!
I think the roof makes it a little bit like a witch-house and the lookout in the backgrounds seems a bit high. Well but I'd move in anyway so who cares

Hmm, I'll think over it. There will be more huts in the future and I plan to do more research. Not just the plain hut, we've seen this all. More uniqueness.
Haha, I'd move in there too!

This is such a cool style! I really like the sense of up-ness, everything has if that makes sense. Like everything seems swept up.

Everything is pretty much skewed to the right, hmmm, should've added more more variety there.

Thanks, there is something to what you say. Need to contrast that direction just a bit for the sake of variety
