Description
I love em. Really. I do, I love trees so much. Not a tree hugger but I love painting them. It's so much fun, I wish I could explain but I can't.Anyway, I'm finding these kind of paintings really fun.
Cheers!
Sir Towel the Salty.

Thanks! Experimenting a lot with the colors helps, good planning (not something that happened here a lot) too!

Trees are great I agree, they are so organic you can just let your brush flow, it's great! I love what you have done with the colors with this piece. I can tell you had a lot of fun with it. Keep up the good work!

Haha, I know I know. I planted that dwarf dude there no to chop down trees, no idea why I gave him that pickaxe (bad planning).

So you have purple trees there? Very nice
Have you, by any chance, read "the Leaf by Niggle" by Tolkien? It is a beautiful and deep short story about painting a tree
... Or about an artist living in a place where nobody really appreciates art but devoting all his time and strength to paint his masterpiece...

I haven't, I know it exists and was looking for it in a store over here and couldn't find it. Definitely on my reading list.
How are you doing my friend?

It is usually published in a book with other of Tolkien shorter works (for example Poems and Stories or Tales from Perilous Land) but I have no idea what is available in your country. It is definitely worth of moving from reading list ot have alredy read list Especially when you are a painter, writer, dreamer, gardener or whatever else
Well... I'm still flyin'... It ain't much but it is enough... I am trying to procrastinate productively and improve my skills doing it but there are so many things to do and so many skills to improve I hope you are doing better

I'm job hunting at the moment, I think of writing a journal about it and show people what it looks like to keep receiving NO for all the emails I sent out so far. My comics has about 9 frames done, I think of maybe publishing them as they are right now and keep updating bi-weekly or something instead of releasing a huge first chapter
So far I have some freelance work and it keeps me going
