you made me happy.
I lived in that area of Vancouver for 8 years , but I've lived between France and Italy for the last 8 years.
It was nice to see my home again. I know you are not Canadian but,. Happy Canada Day.

Not bad, but I might have tried to correct that panoramic curve effect. But then again, it would look like just another panorama I suppose.

With the man looking at the city view this one invokes the idea of "musing on the city". Along with the man in the picture we study the many different elements that make up this panorama of "city life". That is this photos strength...the eye has many things to capture it's attention and spark the imagination. The shapes and lighting all play into that as well. The slope of the "tents", the rectagular buildings that seem to lean into the sky to support it, the lights from the shipyard, the bend of the train tracks, to the distant lights on the mountain (which someone mentioned is a ski slope). This is really a great capture, thanks for sharing!

This just isn't the least bit interesting. As if a cityscape wasn't boring enough, making a huge one just adds to the dullness factor. Nice execution, but that's really about it.

holy shit Sam, this is briliant
i found myself scrolling left and right about 10 times
i love the wide angle, the weather seems perfect and that guy popped his head in when i least expected it.
Also the buildings on the left are askew in one direction, and the buildings on the right in the other. And on top of all that it has lots and lots of detail to keep your attention ... this is fantastic, has to be a fav

This definitely has a great atmosphere to it. Was this a panoramic photograph, or a pieced together image? Either way, this is incredible. I love how there's such a great deal of activity, and the execution with the lighting and the resulting clarity is magnificent. I agree with your description - and really think that this photograph has an element of everything in it (human, city, nature, air, water, industry, technology, light, etc etc) Awesome!
