After Aoyama stood there with Naoko feeding them their nonsense of an apology, he tried to apologize to Thorne directly.
Thorne's face alone should make it clear that not only is he not buying into anything Aoyama is saying, but that he is also holding back every desire to wipe the floor with Aoyama and Naoko's faces.

Please also note this is one of the few times we will see Thorne with sleeves.
