I feel like her hair cut is similar to Rapunzel's in Tangled or Mulan - how they all started out with long hair, but eventually go short due to events in the films (or in Fluttershy's case, a fan comic strip!).
I think she still looks adorable and innocent the way you drew her! No extensions for her.
