I've learned a lot over the years, especially recently, about manipulators. And how the majority of people who come to harass me are exactly those types of people. From ACommissionReviewer and the other awful atheists in the beginning, to the people who still comment today on my anti-MAP stamps. They all debate with mind games.

You fall into their trap of picking apart and debunking their assertions, only for them to throw it all away and say "HaHAAA SUCKER!!! THAT'S nOt WhAt I sAiD!!! LOLOLOL!!!". Or they move the goalposts, or derail the point entirely by ignoring your point (because it was valid) and focusing on a different target.

I used to fall for these tactics all the time, arguing endlessly with these types of people and letting them cause all kinds of drama. Never winning, because they'd always change the rules in their own favor like a spoiled child on the playground. Real facts and real logic never get through to anyone anymore.

These random people who would harass me to the point of obsession are not normal people. They are insane, deranged people incapable of feeling empathy.

That's why I've stopped arguing with people like this as soon as they start playing games:
Moving the goalposts/Chasing in circles
Disregarding sources without actually critiquing the content
Changing the subject
Ad-hominem/namecalling
...And otherwise plain and simply Gaslighting.

Anyone who I see resort to this will simply be told, "I'm done with this, and this is why", and then blocked.
