Is the game good, because it just looks like a typical final fantasy game.

It's very much like the old FFs, especially FF5. The story is pretty typical, save the crystals sort of thing. There's a kind of twist halfway through, but the main thing that shines is really the gameplay/battle system.
I like it a lot as I'm kinda old, so I played the old FFs and it's really got the nostalgic factor.

( I play the violin and as far as I know, it's played on the left shoulder rather than the right )

so there is no hard/fast rule saying you have to play it on the left side

There are a lot of left handed players at my school and they all play it on their left shoulder.
And in professional musicians and at concerts, they all play in on their left so I thought that was the norm.
