Those birds cant stop knuckling with their claws until they feel no pulse in your hands anymore.
Because of that people usually wear thick Leathergloves. Not to mention the pain of their claws penetrating your skin^^
All but I totally forgot to tell you how gorgeous this picture is. SO much dynamic

As the creator of the character (ejem ejem, proud mom syndrome XD) the owl can't hurt him
imagine a skin soft as yours, but hard as the scales of a dragon

This is a fantastic piece to be sure. I love your lighting. The one thing that seems out of kilter is the line art on this man and owl. Your background is so soft and mysterious, his figure melts out of his wispy attire, but the fine linart doesn't seem to jive with the rest of the composition, at least for me personally, I would almost suggest that you might see what he and the otel look like without.
